It's smartscreen. They don't care what you install, it's a feature of Windows 8 to help detect malware.
If Windows 8 (Microsoft) can't determine if an app is safe (by checking against the database they have of filenames and hashes) you get a smart-screen popup warning when you try to run it for the first time. That's basically it.
