Windows current store is a joke unless its come a long way recently I have serious doubts. I have bought a couple of games through GFWL a while back and have had issues re downloading not too long afterwards. On top of that GFWL is pretty much universally hated among PC gamers. It takes a full couple of minutes to log in with any new game. Some of which require you to type in a cd key in game. I prefer the securom way of just doing a cut and paste in windows when installing. GFWL patches are a real pain in the ass. The UI is awful.
There is just so much wrong with GFWL. I am very skeptical that there will be any real progress. Another concern that I have is will they keep up with updates and what not? Look at what they did with MS security essentials. It was great at launch but they have been very slow to update definitions for a while now.
Most importantly, I'm not dealing with the Metro UI. Its just awful for a desktop or any productivity. I really think that this is going to be panned as much as Vista at release. I'll wait for the next windows. I think that this alone is going to kill Windows 8 market share.Edited by BababooeyHTJ - 8/25/12 at 10:32am
