Need a Longer 8pin 12v

Thread Starter
I need a longer 8pin 12v for my motherboard power. Any suggestions? I currently have 8pin 12v from my power supply, but it's not reaching. Is there a 8pin 12v female to male cable? Are these safe to use? What other alternatives are there? Could I use a 4pin 12v female to male cable instead? I have notice these are quite common, once again are they use to use.

I have 800w Silent Pro

Besides another PSU, there are no alternatives.

It is a cable extension and nothing more, It is perfectly safe.

I have no idea why you would want to use a 4-pin as your motherboard is 8-pin.

Check these out. I've used extensions from them forever and they work great.

Thanks, I didn't think it was a problem, but I wanted to make sure. And the reason for the 4pins is pretty straight forward. There are way more 4pin to 8pin then extensions. So, it's only nature to wonder if this setup would work.

Thanks everyone, I got a couple cables from my local computer shop.
