What Mouse + Pad?

Going to order a Mouse and Mouse pad.

What's your grip style?
Palm, or just where I hold the mouse and drag my hand a bit. I could probably adjust to a new grip.

What's your sensitivity?
Not sure, what ever a good gaming mouse would need. Would like to be able just to move the mouse smoothly.

What's your maximum budget?

Do you want additional buttons?
Yes, if possible, at least two. So that I can program them or something.

What games do you play?
I plan on playing Guild Wars 2, Minecraft, Skyrim, Borderlands 2, FPS.

Do you mind about prediction?
Not really, unless it affects gameplay that much.

Other relevant information:
Just wanting a good mouse. Also planning on using Newegg or Amazon. Also, wired would be great.

Mouse Pad:
Would like a nice one that would last a good bit.

Considering:
Zowie Gear EC1 Evo:

Zowie Gear P-CM Blue:

The Razer Deathadder has poor quality, or so I read. The side buttons caving in and the wheel going out.

I've owned several DA's and never had issues. I think you may be seeing the a lot of posts due to Razer selling a ton of mice. You'll see a common thread after reading posts that most brands are similar in fit, finish, and durability.

I would suggest from my personal experience to try out the DA. Black Edition if you have sweaty hands and the vanilla with glossy sides if your hands stay dry. As far as the Zowie mice, I've owned both the EC1 and EC2 Evos. They worked fine for me on a regular and white Puretrak Talent pad. The EC1 is about the same as a DA in shape while the EC2 is a bit smaller.

I'd go to BB or somewhere similar and see if you can hold a DA to get an idea of what size works for your hand then go from there. Positive with the DA too is it tracks well on many surfaces. I've personally used it in a QCK Heavy, and a Puretrak Talent Regular and White. I can recommended those pads as well.

Try Logitech products, not the absolute best, but solid build, and top of the line in terms of costumer service. Any small thing goes wrong? You will get a new one sent to you (:

I'm using a G700, it's an "hybrid" between MMO and FPS Mice. It's wireless, which is great, with no dock, only a cable, that means you can use it wired, and when you start gaming, unplug it (:

Other mice I recommend from Logitech:
G600 MMO
G9x FPS

As for a mouse pad... that's up to you, there isn't as much difference as in mice. I'm currently using a Razer Vespula, dual sided, with wrist rest, quite nice.

I would highly recommend the g700. I have it and like Artur said its wireless but can be wired as it has a cable to charge it with. There is no weight system for it so it's one weight fits all. The dpi is on the fly switching with 5 different preset modes but you can always fine tune it with the program it comes with. Also with the same program you can basically reprogram the whole mouse with up to 13 different switches including the right and left mouse button but I honestly don't touch those. There are 4 buttons on the side that are easily pressed and arent in the way if you don't need them. The mouse stores 3 profiles on it so you can switch it on the go as well. The scroll wheel also can be changed between the catch which is the regular scrolling or the frictionless one which enables fast scrolling. Needless to say I really like this mouse but it might not be suited for you if you have small hands. I have a middle sized hand I it fits perfectly.

My friend owns the g9x which does have a weight system, two sizes for hands, the same scrolling switch, on the fly dpi switching, profiles, and is wired.

I don't know much about the g400 but I'm sure it'll be a good buy.

As for the mouse pad, I recommend the steel series cloth mouse pads. A 10 dollar one will work perfectly wih any mouse you hope to invest in.

Keep in mind people are more prone to write a negative review than a positive review.

I'm selling it because I'm going more mobile, so I bought a wireless Logitech Performance MX. My G400 is still brand new in the box. Outside return window. Nice to know I can offer someone a discount on a brand new product and get trolled for it.

Please show me some proof that at least 30% of the mice are having any issues what-so-ever.

There is a review on the mouse forum for OCN for the G400 you should check that out as well. :-) otherwise I did do a little research into it and I came to the conclusion that it is a pretty solid mouse and a worthy investment.

I don't think I said anything that wasn't true. Sure it's getting good reviews because it tracks great and it's cheap for budget gamers to afford. The 2 points I mentioned. It still has tracking issues above 800DPI which are well known and so are the cord issues well known. For $35 it's a budget mouse and one can't expect longevity out of it. There are plenty of people on this forum that have admitted to having to constantly RMA the mouse because of the cord but still give it high marks because of Logitech giving them a new mouse for free.

For a low sens gamer that doesn't go over 800 DPI and doesnt mind dealing with the cord issue this mouse is great - but when recommending anything it's only fair to also the bad with the good.

You wouldnt want to buy a car only to find out it had a bent frame that the owner didn't tell you about would you?

Still see no numbers backing up anything. This is an issue for what, 3% of the people buying it? Done replying.
