Ya I do. I am kinda worried about it myself. I watch a lot of football and baseball. It's just that the panasonic is so good I couldn't help but get it. people say you should break them in first by watching full screen content with no logos and the chance of image retention will be less.
Also CNET did a burn in test and found the samsung plasmas are not as bad as panasonic. if you have to go with a plasma and are worried about IR then Samsung would be better but there black levels aren't as good. Also the Samsungs are cheaper and come with 3d glasses.
The last tv I had was a edge lit LED lit LCD and in the dark the picture was terrible so I went with a plasma this time. I am worried about IR but I am just going to be very careful. To me the picture quality is worth it.
I would check out the Samsung and Panasonic plasmas side by side in Best Buy and see which you like better. If the Samsung is close in picture quality to your eyes then go with the Samsung because you will not have to worry about Image Retention.
CNET left a static image on the Samsung Plasma overnight and it went away completely.
I would suggest going to avsforums. That's where the best info is. There is a owner's thread for all these tv's. Some people even think the Samsung has a sharper picture. It all comes down to personal preference.
