12.8 cRaZy video problem

Thread Starter
This is a strange one I have to admit: the first time I watch a video on the internet (youtube is a perfect example) my screen goes completely crazy. If I can manage to close the window or go back to the last page my screen goes back to normal and then I can go back to the video I was watching and it will work fine. This happens once after I reboot or cold boot and then it works perfectly until my next boot. I have tried uninstalling via the normal method and reinstalling and I have used the latest ATiman uninstaller (7.0.2) and both have had no affect on this problem.

Is anyone else experiencing this or heard of it happening with this new driver set and does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried changing resolutions on monitor or swapping the monitors, it could be refresh rate issue. Have you went back to stock clocks on your 7950? or have you reverted back to 12.6 / 12.7 drivers?

For anyone with this problem searching for a solution I tried disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox and it did not work. It looks like the combination of CCC 12.8, Firefox and Afterburner 2.2.3 creates this issue. It seemed to go away with turning off Afterburner, but then again it went away for a little after disabling hardware acceleration in FireFox.

Fix: Uninstalled Firefox and installed Chrome. Not a single issue now. I love FireFox, but that was a game ender and now I am going ot be using Chrome for a while again.

I hope that this post helps some random searching users in the future. thumb.gif
