why arent leds showing?

http://www.frys.com/product/6273980?...H:MAIN_RSLT_PG i bought that its hooked up to power supply, maybe needs to be hooked to motherboard headers?

this is rather unclear. which LED's aren't showing? fans? power? case lighting?

if its power/hdd, those go directly into the motherboard header designed for them. if its fans, then the power is carried by the same molex or 3 pin connector that powers the fan, and if its case lighting, then you should plug it up to the psu directly, unless there is some other system in place.

um front fan is a led fan and i believe door fan is too, reason im wondering is ya, they have motherboard header connectors BUT out of box they were connected to adaptor to plug into psu

the LED's should come on with the fans, regardless of whether they are plugged into the mb headers or the psu directly. plugging them into the mb headers allows the system to control their speed and also allows you to use programs like speedfan to control their speed but shouldn't effect the LED's.

if the fans are spinning but the LEDs aren't turning on, then the fans are defective. if they are blowing air, though, it might not be worth the RMA process because fry's may ask for the entire case back.

if you bought it at a fry's locally, take it back and ask for an exchange. if you bought it online, i would probably just buy new fans. you can get better performing, quieter ones anyway.

actualy i cant find where in haf thread it was but someone was saying they turn on of they are on low or was it high one of the two
