Pls help i need suggestion for cooler my target oc is 4ghz 4.2 at most im thinking of getting h40 but i read many negative comments about it im also thinking about coolermaster hyper 212 but i dont know if it will get in the way of my corsair vengeance ram can you recommend me air cooling that wont get in the way of vengeance or Liquid cooler that is better than h40.

Yeah I'd suggest a Corsair H60 or H80, depending on how much you're willing to spend. But if you do decide to get one, try and make sure its from a new batch (No earlier than June) or else you might get stuck in the same boat as me with a really obnoxious buzzing noise. But in terms of cooling, having used the H80, it gives some pretty decent temperatures under load and should perform nicely with your overclock.

We were able to OC a 3570 (non-K) on a little ASRock Pro3 board (since RMAd due to other issues) using the non-K OC BIOS update, to 4.2GHZ (dropping to 4.0GHZ all cores loaded), on the stock cooler with no increase in voltage, just turned off the thermal management stuff. Temps peaked at ~80C under stress test IIRC. I only tested stability for about an hour for kicks and giggles but no problems came up in that short time.

This should clear the memory and provide more than enough cooling to hit 4.2GHZ stable: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103100

which corsair vengence set do you have, the low profile or the regular ones? Assuming you have the regular ones with the heatspreaders since you are worried about it, and that being said I am pretty sure the noctua and hyper will be a little too big for you. Look into the h60s and if you have the cash consider a thermaltake 2.0 as I have been hearing really good things recently. For the OC you are trying to reach, you can do that without increase voltage at all so temps shouldn't suffer. Maybe a slight increase, but nothing bad. In my experience, 4.2/4.3 is when I needed to up the voltage ever so slightly (my stock was like ~1.15) and after that you will need to keep bumping it up. 4.5 seems to be the point of diminishing return for most people too. I know you aren't shooting for an OC that high but just a little extra info for you

Another closed loop water cooling solution would be ZALMAN CNPS20LQ, best reviews on newegg. Check out youtube for some reviews...

im using a Corsair H70 (basically a H80, but the discontinued version) and the same processor.

Stock i was hitting 50c under full load and went as low as 15c at idle.

im overclocked right now @ 4.5ghz @ 1.2v, max temps under full load was 73c and it idles in the high 20's

im pretty happy with it and im sure if you went with a similar closed water cooling solution you'd be able to hit your target OC with ease.

thanks for the info i might look at thermaltake water 2.0 performer since its price is close to h40.
