of course, that is how you do it - before installing windows. when you RAID-0 the drivers, everything on the HDDs will be lost.
i think you have to press ctrl + i when you POST your system. (refer to your board's manual) it will take you into the RAID bios. after that, it should not be hard. just go with the default settings. it should be self-explanatory.
after that, you boot from the Windows disk and you should only see one "volume". you can consider it as a single "fresh" drive which has nothing on it. you can create partitions and install windows.
