Is there a way to install RAID 0 on my hard drives before installing windows?

I'd like to install windows in raid 0 across my two HDDs, but I can't seem to put my two hard drives in raid 0 before installing windows. Is this doable, and if so, how?

I have an ASRock H77 Pro4-M motherboard, and 2x 1TB caviar blacks.

Thank you for your time!

of course, that is how you do it - before installing windows. when you RAID-0 the drivers, everything on the HDDs will be lost.

i think you have to press ctrl + i when you POST your system. (refer to your board's manual) it will take you into the RAID bios. after that, it should not be hard. just go with the default settings. it should be self-explanatory.

after that, you boot from the Windows disk and you should only see one "volume". you can consider it as a single "fresh" drive which has nothing on it. you can create partitions and install windows.

I can not get into any raid bios whatsoever, though. Is there any reason I can't get into the raid bios?

unless there is a problem with the keyboard combination, no.

do you see the message where it says, press "something something" to configure RAID?

You have to set Sata to RAID in your motherboard BIOS first, then you should get the option to press ctrl + i as the computer boots up.

Then you can add the two HHDs to the raid.
