Help ! Need a 23-32" LCD Monitor - No budget!! For HD Gaming

Hiya, ive just ordered 2 8800GTX cards, for my sli config, but now i need a top of the range LCD monitor to go with it.

Im looking to play on higher resolutions than my current LCD tv, which is a SAMSUNG 23" HD with max resolution of 1280x720

A widescreen monitor or TV is preferred with maybe HDMI as i reckon that will improve the quality of the display. Is a 1080 HD TV better for games via HDMi or a high resolution TFT screen ? Need advice

Budget is £1000 or $2000

That Dell resolution is about where its at along with the Apple 30" LCD which is the same.

A TV with 1080p will have a resolution of 1920x1080, so as you can see the two monitors will do a much better job. Unless this is going to be a media system i.e. home theater tied in. If thats the case look at the Sony XBR2 Bravia (the XBR3 adds a glossy border and that is it).

EDIT: Most if not all computer monitors are going to be DVI, reason being is HDMI carries a digital audio signal which is not needed on a monitor as there are no speakers nor a digital out. I still recommend you get a true monitor for that gaming machine. I also hope you ordered a new PSU with that system.

Everyone else has seemed to mentioned the good monitors out there but I thought I'd just say WOW! Where'd you get the money for 1 8800GTX let alone 2!

There is a link to the Dell monitor they mentioned. I would definately get that as opposed to the Apple one as it is much cheaper.

REsponse time is an overrated statistic, there is no set standard for how to measure it, and a good monitor these days is a good monitor, and those dells are pretty sweet.
