Buy another GTX570 and SLI

Thread Starter
I have a Gainwood Phantom GTX570 with a single 1920x1200 monitor.
I'm thinking of installing another GTX570 to give me better game performance.
I really don't want to purchase a new 600 series card (for cost reasons at the moment) but may next year look at the 700 series.
I can buy a Zotac GTX570 for $242 deliverd from Amazon.
This is minimal cost, I think anyway
Just need opinions on doing this upgrade.

Go for it! why not? but what games are you playing right now that a GTX 570 can't max out?

for $242 you can't go wrong. You might run into profile/driver problems for the new games, but then it should be address pretty quickly usually.

I got two gainward gtx570's and addi g that second one made a big difference, the fps rose quite a bit and now i can have a lot higher settings in bf3 and still get close to 120fps for my 120hz monitor. If you dont mind spending the 240 i would say go for it!

This,
My main argument for people saying that "Drivers are bad" is that any game that needs 2x cards will get the support for it. The games that don't support it (like GTA IV) can often be ran on a single card easily. The same goes for older games smile.gif
