Boot priority reset issue

Thread Starter
Hello, I'm not quite sure if I should post here about this but

I have a problem where the boot priority changes to my HDD from SSD

whenever I restart ( Not always, sometimes and randomly).

So whenever this happens, I need to go into bios and set the boot p to ssd. (I can see both hdd and sdd on the list)

Before I got an ssd, I had OS installed on my hdd.

After I got the ssd, I fresh installed OS on it and reformatted hdd.

Set the boot priority to ssd.

hdd is plugged in SATA1 and SSD in SATA3. ( I was thinking of plugging ssd into sata1 but this will require some time and tools to do it...)

Could it be a problem with the ssd? (maybe the ssd is not responding by the time the mobo tries to access the ssd?)
Any ideas?

Any help will be nice!

Mobo: MSI p67-65gd (b3)
OS: Win7 ulti 64x
ssd: samsung 830 120gb
hdd: seagate barracuda ST1000DM003

That was precisely the first thing that came through my mind since there are plenty of reports with SSDs behaving badly on quick power-cycling - so I guess that seems like the most plausible explanation rolleyes.gif
