My EC1 dont track good at all on my talent but my IME 3.0 tracks flawlessly on it. Ive heard the zowie mice only track good on a single coloured pad is that true?. Im not sure if to get the zowie G-TF could someone tell me if its good/bad, the qck+ usually has too much friction.

Mouse has tracking troubles on multi-coloured pads, If you has small-medium hands it is palm or claw grip mouse. For large handed people only claw, go and buy ec1 if you want to palm.

Its hard to comment whether a mousepad is good or bad, since its subjective. But the G-TF works well ( of course it does, they're from the same company
) with the eVo.
Definitely less friction then the QcK, but the new Speed version will feel more like a hard pad because of the unique and thin base.

maybe RMA your evo ? my ec2 has no problems tracking on the talent, I have it polling @ 500hz through hidusb, 450dpi 35cm/360n / 1150dpi 20cm/360 depending on the game, no skipping no neg accel and very minimal jitter, are you using the 2300dpi setting maybe ? zowie G-TF is good but kinda uncomfortable, it actually forces me to hold the mouse in a weird way so not much of skin makes contact with its surface, same problem with hien and most plastic pads

Hi i also use 500hz with hidusbf and using 450 dpi, in paint it doesnt look like theres any bad tracking but ingame it just feels bad. my IMO 1.1 tracks flawlessly and i much prefer it to the zowie, i tried it out on a white sheet of paper and it does feel alot smoother when im aiming, ive heard people playing on single coloured pads and still have problem with the tracking on this mouse so im kinda worried. i dont really wanna spend 25ish euros on a g-tf like you said just to use this mouse. im wondering if a qck+ black would be safe without causing any problem.

I also have a zowie am and roccat savu, both optical sensors and both fail hugely on my qck heavy. Terrible skipping and malfunctions. Can't make quick moves (play with very low sensitivity and 400-450 dpi and 500 hz)
Until i ordered an Artisan Hien Mid Large size.
Simply the best mousepad i have ever had (comiung from razer control and speed editions, ss 9hd, roccat taito-the most terrible of all and ss qck heavy)
Unique surface, although i have sweaty hands, i dont skip not one tiny bit. My aim in cod4 has been improved so much i cannot believe it.
Either way, use that guide
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=0_hZipKt72M
to force your zowie to 500 hz, because even if you put it to 500 hz, you will notice few 1000 hz rates in mouserate checker.

Ive forced my mouse to 500hz with usbf, i hope you have it on 1000hz cause it still doesnt keep stable if you force it on 500 and having 500hz enabled on the mouse. back to topic, ive never been picky about mousepad, mouse but i just couldnt understand why my ancient imo 1.1 tracks way better than the new evo. kinda realized something must be wrong. which artisan pad should i get if i want one that feels just like the talent but maybe slightly less friction? i cant stand the friction on pads such as qck+. should i get the hien then?.

hayate is pretty similar to talent, slightly less friction but not worth 60 euros, mine is now useless after 3-4 months of usage, too much static friction and overall stickyness, check endorphine's posts for more info, english is not my native language, wait for my verdict on cm storm RX, it only costed me 16.5 euros including shipping, be patient

I paid back in march ~ 40 euros for the pad + 18 for shipping, glide was excellent for the first 2-3 months, no resistance but still plenty of control because the base is pretty soft,(still not comfy as the talent tho ) then it went downhill, because dust/dirt got caught inside the loose weave, I tried washing the pad and a lint roller, dust wouldn't come off no matter what.
Talent is a pretty good pad as long you don't sweat much / humidity in your room is low enough, these 2 things REALLY affect its glide, hope the RX lives up to my expectations
