24" Monitor - Page 2

I'd stay with the 7950, OC it a little bit and you basically have a 7970 but for alot less money. As for monitors I've read that Asus make some pretty decent ones, but to be honest there are alot out there, heck I got mine cause it was the cheapest and it's awesome. thumb.gif

TNs are great if you are the only one using it.
The minute you have people looking at different angles at the screen, it gets bad. That's where IPS fits in. So if you have a multi-monitor setup, IPS is the way to go.

I do NOT have multi-monitor setup and I'm only the one using it smile.gif

Yet, I sit sometimes a bit higher, sometimes a bit lower, so the viewing angles change..)

I once had like 4 friends over and they said it was fine looking at the screen watching a movie.

And then there's the big point, you'll generally be the only one looking at the screen, I mean, it's a PC, not a console.

Any reason for a 24"?

The 2412 is a 16:10, where most other 24" will be 16:9. The 2412 is almost as tall as a 27" 16:9 and costs around the same price as a 27" tn screen. I can highly recommend the 2412, I love all of mine. But coming from a 27" tn was hard at first before getting the second and 3rd screens and they have the extra height of 16:10.

There is also a possibility to buy this monitor : LG ELECTRONICS IPS231P for like 100 euro cheaper.

What do you guys think about that?

Will there be a big difference in size or not?

In the beginning a wanted to buy 27" screen, but one friend of mine said that my system won't let to play new games smoothly a long time on it. Or will it be OK if I'll just buy one 27" monitor?

Smth like that: LG

The size makes no difference in performance, only the res. A 27" 2560X1440 will give you much worse performance than a 27" 1920X1080 and cost more. But the high res will give you awesome clarity.

I played on a 27" 1920X1080 for a while and loved it, you can only see the pixels if you get really close to it. I only changed because I wanted eyefinity.

I would definitely get a 27" if I were you. Your system is ore than enough for it.

I see nothing wrong with 1080P on my 23" to be honest, it's still clear as crystal. I don't know about a 27" in 1080P though, 1440P might be better for a monitor that big. smile.gif

There is now this pretty cheap LG 23" with IPS matrix and I just don't know whether I need to save almost 100 euro buying it.. I can't really find any big reviews about this monitor frown.gif
