Which is better?

I've heard people saying that the Xai has better build quality than the rubberized Raw, is this true?

Just because it's a replacement that doesn't necessarily mean that it's any better. That's why I'm asking smile.gif

XAI is of higher build quality than the sensei raws. Performance wise they'll be very similar too due to the fact that they use the same sensor.

So I'm better of going with the Xai do you think?

I like my raw a lot, it's the glossy one, but the sensor has been slightly tweaked, afaik it's not as finicky with cloth pads as the xai.

The Sensei has improved performance.
Which means better lift off distance, better tracking on cloth pads and doesn't get crazy when dust gets in the sensor.

Remember the sensei and the sensei raw have different hardware.

But still similar performance. I thought it had LOD control, but it doesn't.

According to this review

For some reason the older mice using the avago 9500 sensor would get a huge amount of acceleration on clothpads but with newer mice like the sensei raw the acceleration is quite minimal and not something most people will notice. There will be up to 4-5% acceleration on clothpads

It has better performance than the Xai on cloth(I felt the same from my Sensei compared to the Xai).
I would get the Raw over the Xai just cause of the dust issue on the Xai, it happened a bit too often.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if the Raw rubberized has the same coating as the Xai.
