So I got a big surprise while doing some maintenance on my water loop. It's being more than a year since I put it together and never really done any maintenance on it ( I know I shouldn't have let it go that long). Well finally got around to it yesterday basically ran some distiller water and vinegar mix in there for about an hour then proceeded to drain it and replace with clean distilled water and let it run for about 10 minutes. I did this like 5 times. Took the loop apart rinsed with more distilled check for any signs of residue. I redid all of my tubing to make it look better also some cable management it was a fun day most have taken about 6-7 hours. Now came time to put it back together. A while back I had read that shin etsu TIM was suppose to be the best and no curing time so I've been using it for about 2 years first on my h50 and then on my waterloop. This time I didn't have any, I thought I had a syringe left but couldn't find. I did however have artic silver. So I figured I put it on just for now and other some more shin. Put everything back together an shoot it up. Open up real temp and wow my idle is down more than 3 degrees from the first time I put my loop together. Again this difference in temp was from when I first got the loop. So with this in mind I ran prime for about 2 hours and it only. Hit 70c on 1 of the cores the rest are 67-68 and 1 only hit 65. Now with the shin and the exact same loop I was hitting 75-76 degrees and I now artic silver has a curing time so should I expect even a bigger drop I know nothing much but maybe another 2-3 degrees maybe? So does this mean that artic silver is better than shin etsu? With these result it seems like it. Any thoughts?

AS5 really likes to be thin thou. Just like a thin film in between. Maybe it just spread really good. Lol, you will not want to take it off now as you might not get a good mount like this again
