3D MODELLING Game Engine for a beginner

First of all sorryredface.gif

I did not know where to post this.

Now, i read on these wonderful forumsyessir.gif about 3d modelling and got started with blender

I got good with the basics and found out that there are three main things in 3D Modelling:

1.Modelling (Duh) like a static objectspam1.gif

2.Animation using modelling and timedevil.gif

3.Game Creationgunner2.gifkungfu.gifgunner.gifsniper.gif

I tried all three and the third really was my game (pun intended thumbsupsmiley.png)

So i read somewhere that though blender was quite powerful,

something like a UDK, Unity and such game engines were really for

game making.

Some say Unity is the easiest (love that show.....British people you know what im talking aboutcheers.gif)

But some how it dosent work form me. my computer is plenty powerful but it just dosent run. mad.gif

So then i thought i should actually ask which one to start with since im quite a noobredface.gif

Thanks everybodytyper.gif

I prefer UDK. The documentation is plentiful:

http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/WebHome.html

And using Google to find tutorials gives thousands of guides!

Start there.

Also, UDK has it's own model format, but Google will help you more.

And the code you use is UnrealScript. Just have a look at the guide that I linked to and it'll explain everything.

I don't know, overall.

I've played a bit with CryEngine SDK but never used UDK.

Download TF2 and model hats and other items for it. Should be easy if you're starting off. Plus it should all be free too.

There's a good tutorial site: http://www.3dbuzz.com.
I learnt Unity there, but there are also UDK tutorials.
