This isn't me asking "is it a good mouse?" it's me asking what actually makes it good. Why? I suggest this mouse to alot of people but I fail to tell them why it's so good but at a very cheap price. The only thing I can come up with is the sensor is good. When it comes to prediciton and all that stuff I'm still catching up on I know nothing about

the shape - the hand never gets tired.
the sensor - cursor on the screen moves in sync with the physical movement of the mouse
build quality - takes a lot of punishment, and it still works, although buttons do suck
price - ridiculously cheap considering the above mentioned
even today, if someone @Microsoft had some common sense, they would corner the gaming mouse market in an instant.

When it was very popular the alternatives to the WMO/IME were either laser mice with horrendously low perfect control speeds or other optical mice with heavy prediction and high lift off distances. The sensor was the main draw to it because the switches, feet and cable are all pretty awful.
