i5 3570k Performance increase?

Thread Starter
I am going to buy an air cooler sometime, probably to hyper plus, but what I want to know is will I notice a performance increase from going to 3.4 to 3.8, or 4.0 if that's possible on the 212 plus. And will this effect my start up time? I am on an SSD, and 8gbs of ram.

Thanks for you time!

4.2= 4.5 should be in the realm with that cooler if your case has good air flow and depending on the volts you need.

What id look for which is Strong with IB is some 2100mhz + ram.

G.Skill sells a 2400mhz kit for like 90$ but that kit only seems to work right for the 3770k.. so id stir clear of that one.

4.5 is a good spot. I had my i5 2500k there for awhile. Now trying for 4.7 on a hyper 212+ haha.

You wont truly notice it past 4.2-4.5 I think..Or notice it at all, but itll improve folding, benches, and potentially FPS.

Well, I think that I should upgrade my GPU before I touch anything else lol...

Specs:

i5 3570k
Asus Sabertooth Z77
8gb Corsair 1600mhz
OEM GTX 280<
Stock cooler frown.gif
64 SSD
1tb HDD
850w PSU
NZXT Guardian

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I really need to buy a better graphics card instead of anything else!

BF3, ArmA 2, just about every mmo, I have 2 1920x1200 monitors as of now. I play both BF3 and ArmA 2 maxed out besides anti aliasing.

I was looking to buy a 680, and I think I'm gonna. If that says anything about my budget tongue.gif
