Fluid XP+ nano uv blue question

Thread Starter
So my ress started to leak Koolance TNK-501 Reservoir my tubing is faded in color kinda, its clear tubing,, when i draind the water today i found out my blocks are white maby due to the nano particles? so i will have to take them apart and clean then i gess.

Questions:
Is it normal for the tubing to get faded or w\e so its not clear anymore? only been in use for about 6mnds.
and if so, any easy way to clean the tuping? or do i have to get new tubing?

For cleaning the blocks, can u just use tap water and run trew the blocks ? (hot water) and then run distilled water afterwords, or do i need to take them apart?

I was sure the Fluid xp+ nano would not make the tubing fade in color so quickly, and i was sure it woukd not "block" or stick to the rills in the blocks.

Will see if i can post some pics tomorror when i find the camera.

Hope this makes any sence, its late, im fustrated and tired.

Any help would be appreciated =3

So i was like F:mad:mad.gifmad.gif it, so now i have taken apart the blocks and started to clean with distilled water and a tuthbrush.

But still need to know a good way to wash the tubing and the radiabors, it the Coscos rig, figured out i will just get new tubing later on, but i still need to clean it so i can use the pc while i wait for the parts to arive, as my last build is at my m8's place for now, and i cba going there all the time ^-^.

All i know, is that i will not use Fluid xp+ nano ever again, the blocks have to mush ****t in the rills and everywhere (will load up pics later when i find the cable for the camera) . So ye any tips to clean the tubing and rad would be grate =3

Well, you can clean blocks in many different ways since they are just big copper blocks.
Sure you can take them apart and clean them.
I've cleaned mine in the past with burning alcohol and a cleaning cloth.

The tubing however seems gone forever tongue.gif
I know that colored water will eventually color your tubes as well so even if you change the color of the water, the tubes will still have the original color.
I'm not sure how to clean that though... I just went for new tubes since it doesn't cost that much anyway.

And the reason ppl use warm distilled water to clean there blocks is because they don't want to take their loop apart and clean each part individually.

Cleaning the rad however might prove to be difficult.
You could always fill it up with some warm water (I'm guessing tap water won't hurt for a rad) close it and give the rad a good shakin.

Oki so i got a new cable for the camera today, but.. i had a kid running around that i had to take care off, so tomorrow i will post some pics.

For cleaning the rad, i used tap water and some soap, and used an electric tool (the one you use to drag cables trew the plastic pipes) with a cloth in the end. worked okey.

mounted the system back together without the ress, for i have somthing to use while i wait on the new part's.

part list:
New rad
New tubing
Forgot to get a new ress =/ so will have to pick it up later.
And distilled water

atleast thats what i can remember now, hihi.

So yea, pics will come tomorrow, i promise! =3

I run Fluid XP+ and Primochill tubing and I am honestly dreading 2 months from now when I plan on tearing down my loop for maint.

I've already resigned myself to the fact that I'm just going to say to heck with all the tubing and remove it all and replace it with Durelene tubing and flush the heck out of everything and scrub my blocks with toothpaste/ketchup and flush with about 5 gallons of distilled.

This time I'll just run straight distilled with a silver coil. Maybe I'll used Mayhem dye, but not entirely sure on that yet, but I'm leaning that way.

So as you can see, Fluid xp+ nano is some ****t... Had a hard time cleaning it, all i know is that im not going back to that fluid ever again, and tbh i would like my money back and payment for my time, for cleaning it up.

All pics are without fluid in the system, so yea

As some other people have mentioned, it seems like you're having plasticizer issues, although I've never seen anyone's blocks get stained like that.

Thanks for the pictures.

My 2nd GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2 card will be here tomorrow. I'm debating on putting it in immediately or wait for the shipment of Durelene tubing and silver coil that I just ordered from Sidewinder to arrive sometime early next week. I don't think that a couple days with FluidXP+ will be all that bad.

I do have to agree with EAnushan though. It looks more like an issue with plastization of your tubing rather than the FluidXP+. What type of tubing are you using now? Primochill?
