Just got a 2560 x 1440 Monitor, have a problem.

Hey guys I just picked up a Dell u2711 which replaced a TN Dell panel that was running 1600 x 900. When I run at native 2560 x 1440 everything looks retarded and weird and somewhat pixelated. If I revert back to 1600 x 900 resolution everything looks fine like it did on my old monitor (except slightly worse because this panel is much much bigger than my old one). I thought the monitor was plug and play, any idea what I have to do to make it look normal??

Using a DVI cable. Going to try restarting now, hadn't bothered to try that for some reason.

If that does not work..

Go into your display option Via Screen res > Advanced settings > Monitor > Properties > Driver and update it.. and restart again.

There is a Digital driver for the u2711.

Are you using the DVI cable that came with monitor? You need a Dual Link Cable.
