[cnet] Exclusive: Apple-Samsung juror speaks out - Page 5

Apple v. Samsung juror Manuel Ilagan said the nine-person jury that heard the patent infringement case between the companies knew after the first day that it believed Samsung had wronged Apple.

Wow. That's exactly what you are not supposed to do as a juror. Good job peers! Hardly anyone in this hobbled failed democracy is my peer.

Samsung lost the trial, stop beating a dead horse.
You didn't answer his question. Slow down and read, slowly. You tend to jump to conclusions without clearly understanding the question.
His question was, What has Apple copied than was patented?
He didn't claim Apple invented anything.
The topic is not about "What did Apple invent". It is about Samsung willfully infringing on Apple's trade dress, utility patents and design patents. Stay on topic.
Your strawman arguments with personal opinionated videos on YouTube are not facts, they are opinions.
Now, answer the question. What has Apple copied than was patented?

Have you been able to name 1 thing Apple has invented?

I love how you continue to call Samsung a copycat, when EVERYTHING Apple has ever done is based on copying. Let me give you 3 examples of Apple's coying and lack of originality.

Just because Braun didn't take Apple to court, doesn't mean Apple didn't copy them.

They saw copying as a form of flattery.

Do you really lack reading comprehension that much?

I even posted PICTURES, since I know it's hard for people like you to read AND understand simple logic.

The Tablet.

Yet, Apple has been essentially granted the patent over a rectangular screen with rounded corners for tablets.

NOTICE HOW I ANSWERED THE QUESTION WITH PROOF?

Here's a sketch of Apple's patent for a rectangular device with rounded corners. Apple is great at being vague with their patents.

Multi-Touch. 1. Apple did not invent it ( they bought it ). There's plenty of prior art.
Pinch to Zoom
http://www.waltercedric.com/gadget/324-cellphone/2070-multi-touch-and-pinch-to-zoom-years-before-apple-copy-it

To answer his question.

What has Apple copied, than was patented?

Answer: The iPad.

Or are you going to claim they didn't copy the idea from anyone, clearly no prior art ever existed, I am just making stuff up. rolleyes.gif

Now, go ahead and answer my question with detailed proof like I've done, and I will happily give you more examples of what Apple has copied than patented.

Don't doge the question, I'll ask you again, What has Apple copied than was patented?

Personal attacks and insults are NOT considered a valid answer.

This whole time it's just your claims of Apple copying. You have no solid evidence, because if Apple did infringe on a patent, why haven't they been sued to the ground?

iPad name was patented in China long before the Apple iPad existed. And yes, Apple paid off the original iPad trademark owners. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/07/02/us-apple-china-idUSBRE86104320120702

They didn't even come up with their own name, I rest my case.

2. Google had a patent on the notification bar. This was one of Apple's "revolutionary" features in what, iOS 5 or whatever? Note that Google had the notification bar first.

Apple did just that. How can you fault another company for doing the samething.

The Palm OS existed long before iOS. Apple took the palm OS and modified it to fit their style and called it the iOS.

Without the Palm OS, iOS and Andorid wouldn't exist.

I don't know. By that criteria almost no one would have invented anything in the last century. I'd say Firewire, but that was probably based on something. As was the Mac. As was the iPod.

Can you name even 1 thing Apple has invented?
Why does it matter if they've invented it or not?

Because I like you, I'll post this ahead of time:

Can you post a link to this patent please?

Now, name 2 inventions Apple has made on their own before I go on with this list. Deal?

Or simply watch the video I posted. thumb.gif
What's wrong with buying companies for technology?

Its pretty clearly a mistrial when jurors give interviews and state they made their minds up without needing to hear the instructions, as well as fining Samsung for infringement on devices that did not infringe.
