Where is the love?

Thread Starter
I have been out of the "loop" for a few years and I really don't understand the fight between NVIDIA and AMD fans. Why? I posted my system on reddit and they totalled trolled me for choosing two Nvidia GTX 680s. I wanted 3d vision and I wanted CUDA support, need I say more? If you compare the 7970 and the 680 in terms of performance the difference is NOT that huge. I am sure that eyefinity is vastly better than Nvidia surround in many ways but I wanted 3d vision like I said. It seems that AMD fans are VERY loyal, why? Is it justified? Thank you

The fight is superficial and doesn't exist, both card manufacturers are great in all aspects, and it all depends on the best price available at the time.

Ask the same thing between Mac vs Windows. Fanboys will be fanboys.

680s are monsters but are expensive. 7970 are also monsters, but cost less and are a better bang for the buck.

Don't listen to the idiots. 7970. Awesome. 680. Equally awesome. It's all about getting what YOU want and getting value for your dollar.

AMD SUX nVidia 4 LIF!

Sorry, now that that's out of my system, I have always preferred nVidia. Better drivers. And the colors always looked good in my case. tongue.gif

I swap between teams depending on what I am looking for. To me, I look for a card that will do what I want and last a while.

Oh my goodness, this thread was started to see why fanboys are fanboys, and here you are strolling in, being a nvidia fanboy stating incorrect facts, AMD drivers are fine, I've never had a problem.

Some people prefer NVIDIA driver support over AMD. Although some people will argue that "AMD drivers suck" when they don't..... I personally don't experience any problems.

In the end, consumers win because the two are competing. Therefore, there are better prices smile.gif
