What is the 3930k clocked at? Is it overclocked?

this is an insanely hot processor but the chip is actually safe all the way to 105 Celsius so i wouldn't worry about it. your temps aren't that bad, actually lower than mine. I have mine at 4.6 but i don't know what yours is at. Another thing to consider is that prime will always make your processor the hottest. during normal use/gaming i never see anything above the 50's

My temps at the above settings are 62C Prime95 In-place test. 2 fans in push configuration at 75%.

The only reason I'm at 4.2 is because I want to see how low I can go with voltage at a decent clock speed. I'm working on offset voltage for best power savings.

Temps seem a bit on the high side, but are nothing to worry about. You could always try re-mounting the water block to see if that gives you better temps.

Yeah I think I'm going to try that.

What TIM is recommended for 3930K + Water and what is the recommended application method?

By the way, I'm at 4.4, 1.35V, 69C Prime95 In-Place, 100% Fan speed.

Dropped voltages to 1.325V while priming and still stable. Temps @ 67 now.
