GTX 470 & 570 Closed Loop Cooling Mod - Page 2

Thread Starter
Just updated drivers and figured out that I need to increase the voltage on each of my SLI cards manually, I am getting 3DMark 11 score of P10467, with a graphics score of 12759. That is a significant increase of what I was getting when I first started this thread of graphics scores maxing out at 11550ish.

Great mod, congrats!
Two questions : did you use heatsinks to cool the VRM section or just a fan? What radiator fan did you use?

Thanks paps
  1. I kept the black PCB plate on so it got the same as stock cooling on the VRM.
  2. I have a zalman and Noctua NF - P12 on the first card, the second closed loop cooler is at thermaltake Water 2.0 Performer and came with 2 of their stock fans. I like the Noctua fans the best, they are a good balance of air flow and noise. The other fans are louder but preform better aswell, though only marginally.

If you are looking into doing the mod definetly check out THIS PAGE

Thanks, already knew that thread. So you recommend the noctuas even if they cost 20 euros each, opposed to the Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition, for example, which cost 13?
Will keep you posted.

I built my rig before those fans came out so I have no idea what they are like, you can check out the OCN community choice awards and see what they suggest. Good luck with your mod!
