I´m plannig to build this can anyone help me?
CPU - AMD Piledriver Fx8320 or FX6300 - (around 200€? maybe less?)
Motherboard - Asus Sabertooth 990 Fx - 150€
GPU - EVGA GTX 660 Ti - 300€
Case - HAF X - 140€
PSU- Corsair TX750 - 100€
Ram - Corsair LP 8Gb -50€
Cooler- Hyper 212 Evo -40€
HDD- SSD OCZ 60 Gb - 60€
1 - Ok I´ve checked prices on amazon uk and on some sites, does it look like a solid build?
2- CAD and rendering software uses a lot of ram do you guys think I can get more ram like 12 Gb?
3- I think 60Gb may be too small any advice within my budget?
4- Can within my 1200-1400 € budget and making changes like a smaller case or something get a Xeon build faster and better for rendering, and also a very casual gaming?
Many thanks everyone. thumb.gif

First of all AMD Piledriver based Vishera FX launches in october. So if you want to wait till october then planning the build ahead is not wise because prices fluctuate. When do you want the PC. Are you from uk as you mentioned amazon UK. if yes can you give budget in sterling pounds. makes it easier. are other websites like overclockers uk or scan uk ok. and lastly what should the budget include. are a monitor , OS, keyboard, mouse, speakers to be included

Many thanks for the reply,

Sorry tought the piledriver was out in setember blushsmiley.gif , but if it´s october it´s fine by me biggrin.gif , Ok so for the questions,

I am from Portugal, so I used generaly amazon uk for comparison, but I will be ordering parts from a lot of places like processor it´s going to be from a local shop, the rest it´s going to be from either amazon france, uk, and espanã.

However and since most of the people here are from the US I will be posting the build from the newegg site, since it´s more comonlly available and after I decided all components I´ll look for ways to buy from a lot of places.

My budget is 1200-1400€.... so in dollars (since I´ll in about a hour post a build from newegg, I guess.... biggrin.gif around 1600-1800$

I´ll buy only the desktop and it´s components and a OS (windows 7), I have eveything else monitors, keyboard, speakers etc...

I don´t really know when I will need this pc, currently I sold my gaming rig and I have my brother´s htpc and my laptop (which I´m using) so I will probably buy during setember all parts except the cpu, and in october buy it and assemble it.

Many thanks for the reply, smile.gif In about a hour I´ll post my build from Newegg, and I´ll try to make a alternate build using the xeon processor.

Ok so here´s the build I m thinking of doing:

RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145332

CASE:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119225

FAN CONTROLLER:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999229

PSU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139011

GPU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130809

HDD:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227728

MOTHERBOARD:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131736

CPU:
Either a FX8300 or a FX6300

COOLER:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

Ok so I only need to choose a optical drive, I don´t really paid much attention to one that would be good going to have to check it out....
My final question is do you think I can save some money on a smaller case , a non modullar psu, and get a xeon? and would you advise xeon for continuous rendering use?

Many thanks everyone biggrin.gif

If you want to go for rendering I would advise a core i7 3770k or 2600k . thats the better option . your case and PSU is overkill. i have worked up a config

Intel core i7 2600k - 225
http://www.amazon.co.uk/INTEL-I7-2600K-3400MHz-LGA1155-Desktop/dp/B004FA8NOQ/

ASROCK Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard - 110
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Z77-Extreme4-Motherboard-Supports-CrossFireX/dp/B007KTY4A6/

Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO cooler - 29
http://www.amazon.co.uk/COOLER-MASTER-Processor-Cooler-RR-212E-16PK-R1/dp/B005HIRDVY/

Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 Mhz - 37
www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R-DDR3-Vengeance-Memory/dp/B0053GLCEY/

Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB HDD - 76
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-WD1002FAEX-Caviar-Internal/dp/B0036Q7MV0/

Samsung 830 128 GB SSD - 78
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-128GB-6GBPS-Desktop-Basic/dp/B007BBQPUA/

Corsair TX650M PSU - 90
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Enthusiast-TX650M-CP-9020002-UK/dp/B005IVZP4W/

Antec 302 - 55
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Antec-Three-Hundred-Two-Tower/dp/B006TVQTHW/

Sapphire HD 7950 950 Mhz edition - 275
http://www.amazon.co.uk/TECHNOLOGY-11196-10-40G-Sapphire-Overclocked-Mini-DisplayPort/dp/B007VHFVEA/

Windows 7 Professional - 119
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Windows-Professional-SP1-64-bit/dp/B00519J736/

TOTAL GBP 1094 = EUR 1381

overclockers uk has the Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X which is a newer design and has a better quality custom vapor-x cooler. so you could get the graphics card from there instead of amazon . it also costs 20 bucks lesser. thumb.gif

If you get the Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X card with 950 Mhz Boost from overclockers uk the cost is 20 pounds lesser than the Sapphire HD 7950 950 Mhz edition at amazon uk.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-304-SP

You could go for the 3770k at amazon uk . costs 23 pounds more . but your nett cost only goes up by 3 pounds. You are still within your budget . I strongly recommend the 3770k and the Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X. think about it. thumb.gif

^ The platform does not support triple channel so 3x4GB is not ideal. Look for 2x4GB or 4x4GB.

You can have 4x4GB for $73 shipped (i.e. just $3 more) at DDR3-1600 speeds.

EDIT: Get this
