Hey, i have been looking around for a gaming mouse for more than a month now, and i got my eyes on the SteelSeries Sensei Raw, i heard alot of good things about it, now PLEASE keep in mind, i live in UAE where such gaming stuff are really i mean REALLY hard to find, i only found a local store for Steelseries, i looked all over the place for logitech and others, and i just cant find anyones, i found one 70KM's away from where i live and i dont have a car and even if i did i will not be going there to get a mouse, so please, tell me what you think about it and maybe suggest more mice from steelseries

Claw grip/finger top

I have no idea
3. What's your maximum budget?
140$
4. Do you want additional buttons?
2 would be enough
5. What games do you play?
FPS mostly, never MMO

and id like to know which is better the glossy or the rubbery finish, thanks alot for your time

I don't know about others, but I had the worst experience ever with a Sensei. Right from the firmware update I could tell it would be trouble. Finally got that to go through and then the software wouldn't install. Jumped through a bunch of hoops to get the software working, and then it wouldn't register my mouse as being plugged in even though I was using it mad.gif Finally got it to register and set up the profile I wanted, and the mouse cuts out every 10 minutes when gaming. I almost put it under the back tire of my car before pulling out of the driveway on my way to buying a different one.

Just FYI, MMO isn't a genre; it stands for Massively Multiplayer Online. Since you're a FPS gamer, I would emphasize on a good quality sensor, since accuracy is very important in FPS games. Others will tell you that since you're not a competitive gamer, it doesn't really matter, but honestly, you're spending $140 for a mouse, so the sensor better be flawless.

Here's the issue with the sensei raw:

Explanation: 1:1 movement is shown as 100% on the graph above. With lower IPS movement, the Xai hits a small negative acceleration curve around 0.6 or 0.7 meters/s or 25 IPS. After 1meter/s or 40 IPS, the sensor goes into a wobble effect of positive acceleration above the linear range. This remains the case with newer 9800 branded mice as well. Last update 7/28/2012

The CM Storm Spawn (beware) is pretty good if you will never use VoIP. The sensei raw isn't anywhere near 140$. That being said I would consider myself a hardcore gamer, which includes fps and the adns9500 (Sensei Raw) isn't a bad sensor at all. In fact I prefer it to my deathadder

Razer DeathAdder. Installation went flawlessly and I haven't had a problem with it since I bought it. Works great. I also play a lot of shooters, BF3 mostly. This mouse is great for it.

Skylit is right. by far most people won't even notice the acceleration of the sensei raw and it performs much better on clothpads, than older mice with the same sensor like the xai.
