hybrid physx gpu

Thread Starter
hi,
i want to select a physx gpu for hybrid physx and it must be single slot and aircooled...
the galaxy gtx 460 isnt available and i guess this is the most powerful single slot air cooled nvidia gpu...so far i have found these gpu's

gt 640
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130796

and

gt 630

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500255

the gt 630 has more memory..its a 4gb card but the gt 640 has 2gb
but the 630 has less core and memory clock..it has less cuda cores too than of the 640...
so which one should i chose?what exactly is the most important thing for a physx gpu?
and are their any better performing single slot air cooled nvidia gpu's than these which i can use as a physx gpu///power consumption is not a problem...

thanks in advance
Abdulla

Either should do perfectly fine.

I would go with the GT 640.

Sadly, the cooler of that card is not single-slot (it eats like slot and a half)

I know there are single-slot 450's (i had three, and i still have one, it is actually the only thing i have reviewed ), but they were always rare. I found a GTX 460 Single Slot on eBay, but it is a it on the pricy side (i also paid a premium for my 450's, but i wouldn't really pay this much for a GTX 460)

If you cannot get one of these cards, get the GT 640. VRAM dos not matter for PhysX, CUDA cores do.

i know there is evga gtx 580 hc which is single slot but without the fittings..but with the universal block, maybe i will be able to install the fittings while keeping the card in single slot..
