[Solved] RAM Slot 4 Damaged? Crosshair V

After pulling out 2 sticks of RAM from the motherboard to benchmark etc etc, then replaceing them, it seems the BIOS is having a hard time picking up anything in Slot 4, windows is constantly BSODing.

So I pulled out slot 4 and Windows 7 boots up fine, any suggestions?

Solved:

Swapped the sticks in different slots and no BSOD's, tested for 5 minutes with Intel Burn Test "Maximum setting" and no problems smile.gif

im having the same issue now after tesing a 955 in my board that is dead. using the 2 red slots the one is ok the other isnt being detected in the bios or windows but the section in the bios is showing that 2 sticks are installed. if i put them in ganged mode i get beeps for no ram installed. got them in the 2 black slots and still the same issues. tried individually and the both work and the slots work individually.

going through rma with ebuyer on the board and amd on the 955. not my luck atm

resolved by using the mem ok button didnt think would do anything but hey.
atom maybe that will work for you
