212+ isn't loud at all. Its very quiet. Though I'm starting to wonder how a heatsink can make noise?

i tested it too, i don't like how they didn't include 2 sets of brackets for fans, also it would have been much better cooling if they had included original blademasters OR put 140mm fans on it because 140mm fans definitely would have fit on that cooler

I saw where the test betas only included 1 bracket but the retail version will have an extra with it.

It's a combination of the fan itself and the airflow/turbulence caused by the air passing through the metal fins.

Well, Ive had this machine for awhile now. Since february 2012. The only noise is my stupid case fans that run auto full speed, and maybe some times when my 670 revvs up.

Is the 212+ Noise rpm dependent, and have you found cases to make a difference in perceived noise? My 212+ is in a relatively quiet case on an I5 2400, so does not need full rpm.
The T4 looks like a thermalright design

Does the T4 use EVO style base?

I noticed that people use the words CPU cooler and CPU heatsink interchangeably. Don't ask me why...
