I will try this when I get home and let you guys know what happens.

Also after trying to find some info on this situation it looks like I could be bottle necking at the CPU if this is true then what CPU and MOBO should I get to resolve all the issues in one shot?

PS, Thanks for the input guys hopefully replacing the CPU MOBO and the water blocks will not be necessary.

Fill out your PC specs..... we don't know what else you're running.

I wouldn't do this because you'll be mixing both the native slot and the nf200 on your gpus, and then add the traffic from the raid card on top of that. Raid card in slot 1 is much better.

Odds are that Slot #1 is a PEG slot so a GPU is required in that slot.

It should initialize in a round robin. Still, 1+2 and 4 is a horrific setup. max 4 e's have crap slot arrangements.

Many motherboards actually require a GPU in primary PCIe slot.

I do agree the additional latency of the NF200 will hurt performance but there might not be anything he can do about it with this setup.

Not sure what more would pertain to the issue but:
2600K
MIVE-Z
2X Sapphire 7970 reference
LSI MegaRaid SAS 9260-8i
8GB Mushkin (996999) 12800 7-8-7-24

So as you can see by the pics here, I need to make a decision on how these need to be placed because no matter how we decide the change will not be easily done.frown.gif

Do you have a spare GPU? Test it alone in the #1, #3, and #4 slots... I expect the GPU to only work in the #1 slot (but I could be wrong).

IF a GPU alone works in slot #2.... then check if your RAID card will work in slot #1.

If so, they RAID card in #1 while GPUs in #2 and #4 are the way to go.

BTW, you have a lot of spare cases! tongue.gif

Do I have any spare GPU's LOL, you could say that, acouple 5870 vapor's, a couple MSI 5770 hawks, a GTX 580 ect ect. I will give it a whirl my only concerne is giving up performance, I would rather buy what I would need to replace the CPU MOBO and water blocks to not loose performance.biggrin.gif

Ok so test one reveals that it will not show anything on the screen with just a gpu in slot #2, but with the raid card in slot #1 and a gpu in slot #3 It post on the screen just like it is supposed to. Now I will try Raid in Slot #1 and a gpu in both Slot #2 and slot#4.
