I would say that you are performing the re-install too often. What type of Virus Scan, Firewall and Anti-Adware are you using?

What syptoms are you getting..."something goes wrong..."?

Maybe back up a step....

Have you tested your hardware, specifically your RAM and HDD?

I am not saying this is the cause of your issue(s), but it is a wise methodology to remove that unkown...

I reinstall every few months too. It's like breaking a bone or something; once something goes wrong, it's never the same again, like if you have to do a recovery install or system restore, then it gets slow or something else is whacked up... I reinstall very often, probably every 4-6 months as well. 6 months was the longest i kept an install lol, and i'm pending another one this weekend...

Yeah, it is unlikely. But a good idea to know that the foundation is solid prior to moving on. Perhaps check RAM w/ Memtest...

Maybe switch up your protection.

What are your CPU loads in relation to when your system begins to lag? And if the load seems un-natural, what is putting that load on the system?

Either to switch to another operating system for awile, or because i've clogged it up too much.

Like I will install XP x64 for awile to play farcry x64, then switch back to xp pro when i get too annoyed with things not working. Also I try new drivers for everything too often, so that can mess things up sometimes.

Also if i really mess something up, it can be easier to take 30 mins to reinstall then to troubleshoot the problem.
