So I am looking for a new sound card in the range of about 100-200 bucks. I'll say 150 for goodness sake. 
I will be using it for gaming and classic rock mostly.
Games - All kinds of games: RPGs, Shooters, Hack n slash, Horror, etc. Any game you can think of I want this sound card to excel at it.
Music - The usuals: Young, Floyd, Zeppelin, CCR, Nudgent, Stones, Who, STYX, Springsteen, etc. Pretty much ever greatest classic rock band in history.
I've been leaning towards three cards in general.
SB - Recon 3D Fatal1ty Pro or Champion
ASUS - Xonar STX
Omega Claro II
Now I know of the X1 and the Claro Halo but what is a decent SC for around 150+. Would going 200 really be that much of a jump in quality?
