Amd fx 4100 with a evga gtx 670 ftw edition? - Page 2

Yeah that's good, there is a spot at the back of my case where the tubes can go through and back out again, so that would work.

Yeah I saw that but even that wouldn't fit my case, and the 3x120mm radiator one is cheaper aswell smile.gif

Well if you have case holes for watercooling tubing, then I'd definitely go for the Rasa kit over a pre-assembled CLC. It also offers you more modularity as well, get a better rad in the future, maybe a waterblock for your 670. If the pump dies it's not a b* to replace.

And if the 3x120 is cheaper, then yeah. Lol

I really wish I would have went with the Rasa, but money doesn't exactly allow that now as I've just had to replace a board, power supply and cooling. Still debating on wether I want the Silver Arrow SB-E or Noctua D14. Either one will be a beast with these Nidec AP30 fans haha. As it was, these fans dissapated enough heat off the radiator that the pump was the bottleneck, heh. H80 was what I was using there.

Yeah that would be nice :3

haha nice,
also the top of the case only has 1 120mm holes drilled, so it's helpful having the holes at the back,

thanks heaps btw.

Yeah, just my 2 cents here, but from the sounds of it, you'd have a really "fun" (sarcasm) time, trying to get the H100 to work right in that case. They are so finnicky over the radiator placement with respects to airbubbles getting in the pump. Since you can't bleed them, there is also the possibility of starving the pump completely if you tip it wrong. THAT actually happened to my H80 once when I first got it. Processor was literally 90C in 5 seconds of being in the BIOS. Lol

Either way, never a problem to shed a little advice. smile.gif Best wishes with your upgrades and building!

One more question

Galaxy gtx 670 ($400)
or
EVGA gtx 670 ftw ( $500)
That extra $100 would be useful for the monitor and watercooling so I'm not sure

Not 100% on what the differences are, I just looked at a retailer though- they are the exact same price here. Whereabouts are you?

I thought it may have had something to do with the PCB design, but apparently not. EVGA used a 680 PCB for their 670, or something to that effect.

EDIT: As a personal opinion, I never pay extra for pre-overclocked cards. I'm just going to overclock them anyway. The exception being the Lightning flavored cards from MSI, those are sweet.

Yeah the galaxy gtx 670 are $400 au and the evga gtx 670's are $500 but the galaxy gtx 670 has a factory overclock, so does the evga, however evga overclock is further plus a extra 200 mhz of memory

I think I might just go with the galaxy gtx 670, cause the extra 100 dollars will help me heaps ! smile.gif

EDIT: The galaxy gtx 670 for $400 is the cheapest around here in australia so I'll just go with that smile.gif
