This thread might be useful to you. It is a comparision between GTX 570 SLI, GTX 470 SLI, GTX 680 and an overclocked HD7970.

GTX 670 is slower than GTX 570 in SLI although not by much. it is also a more stable system due to not have to deal with SLI microstuttering and issues.

I mean, AA x2 is enough for 1440p

I don't know where you were looking but the 660TI falls behind quite a bit in the 1920p charts

ya i'm getting into this section because i may just sell the two 570's and grab a Asus 680 (triple slot) and be done with it for a while.

1920p? I think any modern GPU would die at that resolution lol, so I hope you mean 1080p. tongue.gif

1920p? I'm assuming he's talking about three 1920x1080 panels in portrait mode, and if so... a single 7970 handles it fine. It won't "max out" modern titles, but it'll hold solid enough framerates at high settings. Yes, the GTX 660 will choke badly.

I hope he's talking about that, because a resolution that's 1920p would be crazy.

But your right, I don't think it will max out, but it could certainly play the game at decent settings.

Big overclock on the 7950.

Which one?

The review in the OP has 1195 / 1700, which isn't that huge. My 7950 happily sits at 1200 / 1700 @ 1.23v / 1.6v for my 24/7 OC, and it only has an ASIC of 63.7%...

It is under water so temperatures are not an issue, I could probably push it higher with a bit more voltage but I don't see the need.

I do lower it to 1100 / 1250 for BOINC due to room heating issues (plus vRAM OC does nothing for BOINC).
