Thread Starter
Right then, since by first gen iPad is pretty much bordering on unusable for anything other than very basic stuff, I'm looking at replacing it.
For now I've been looking at the Surface (would get the x86 version if possible) or the Nexus 7. The Nexus 7 is due out in October in Belgium, when the Surface will be out is anyone's guess (American companies have the annoying habit of releasing their hardware in the US/Canada first while the rest of the world has to wait patiently until they can get their hands on it)
Also, I should make it clear at this point that I do not want another iPad (ethical reasons).
Other than that, suggestions?

N7 will probably be a lot cheaper then both those. I would wait for surface to come out and decide from there.

The logical choice is to wait til surface comes out to buy the cheaper nexus 7. But from what I've seen the surface brings a few things to the table in terms of swiping UI that might trump the nexus 7. Wait and see is always the good thing to do, but maybe by the time it's all release you wouldn't even realise you missed out.
