Buy another PSU or add one?

Thread Starter
Ok the past few days I have been having some problems with a game freezing or just random reboots during intensive graphics. So today I decided to reset my card back to default, run some aquamark3/pcmark to see if it was going to lock up- mainly because dark messiah isn't completely bug free.

In short I OC'd back up to what I normally run at 425core-> 500, 1ghz memory -> 1.2ghz. When I ran aquamark3 I had some sound coming from my PSU, but I put the memory/core down some and its fine. I'm rather sure that its because I added like 4 80mm fans and a much bigger hs/fan combo recently- have had some stability issues since and never put the two together until today.

It's a Rosewill 450w 12v1- 18a 12v2- 17a and combined 12v 360w. It's been powering the same system for over 6 months now, I upgraded fans a week or two ago. I have 7x80mm blue LED fans 32cfm, blue orb 2 on the CPU, a 6800GS video card, two IDE hard drives.

The decision- wait until I can afford a much better PSU - I'm thinking PCP&C 750w OR mod an old mATX PSU I have sitting around to run all of my case fans, and maybe a drive or two. Problem comes into play there because I really don't have all the room in the world, but I could definately make it fit.

I really wanted to upgrade to a 165 opty but seeing as how I may end up pumping 100-200$ into a PSU it seems unlikely.

PS go buy my old computer junk in the for sale section so I can afford an more upgrades

I would go with a new PSU. On that note I've got a great deal on mine
