27Q LED monitor Getting Started

Hi, I just connected my newly received Crossover 27Q led to my DVI-D and all I see is a backlight on. No boot sequence or Windows 7 appearing. rechecked DVI--D connection and it worked fine on older monitor.. Card is XFX 9800GT which looks like one of hte approved ones. Any suggestions? Do I need to installl drivers before connecting? Am I missing something? Hoping someone who has been on this road before will help me!

yep, dual DVI. when the logon screen comes on , the backlight goes off for a second and then comes back on, meaning there is a connection, But NO IMAGE. Any advice appreciated.

This is the card I am using, in case it gives anybody any clues. Teh Crossover is the only display output.
EVGA 512-P3-N987-TR GeForce 9800 GT Video Card - 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, DVI, HDMI, VGA.
