If you using windows v7 expect 10-12k less ppd the Ubuntu

I am currently running at all stock until my new CPU cooler arrives and running Windows 7. The F@H client is currently telling me I am getting 16.5k on my 480 and 7.5k on the i5 which is significantly lower than what it appears I should be getting. I'm not too familiar with this new folding client (GPU and SMP in one it seems?) when I folded before they were seperate and I'd just fold the CPU with 2 or 3 cores leaving 1 left for the GPU to use.

Thanks, any help is much appreciated biggrin.gif

Might mean the server is not accepting at the moment. You should see an ip address in v7. Go to the Stanford server status page and find that ip address and see if it's up and running.

Figures, FaT is coming to a close and my PPD in HFM goes up by 30k! Sadly, I'll miss my target of 200k, I only have 1 (possibly 2) more WUs left to drop before deadline (one is dropping 2 minutes after the close of the FaT) for a max total of 6,800 more points, so I should end at either 182,500 or 177,313, either way I'm about 20k - 25k shy of my goal. Damn you Kevdog's Law, two day drop in PPD sucked the life out of my FaT contribution!

I have one WU dropping in 10 minutes and one in an hour and ten, but that means I'll have time left over at the end that I can't use for anything.

But I'm not too bothered about my performance this WU, Kevdogs law hit me hard with the WU's and PPD, I got 52k last Foldathon but I'll be lucky to get half that this time.

Hopefully I'll be getting a dedicated folding GPU for the next foldathon or the one after so I can try and get 60 - 70k +

Not that 200k in less than a week is a huge amount, try checking out the PPD 4P rigs get, or what Deeebs gets every day.

Yeah, I saw the leaders had over 1 million in a day! thumb.gif

Hey, Paradigm, I just wanted to tell you, I saw this in your sig:
Quote:
simonfredette: anything that sounds like spread rectum should be disabled .. just saying

and I wanted to comment.

I saw a thread a few days ago (maybe last week) where simonfredette and you and someone else (I think) were talking about this and it got me currious. I checked my BIOS and saw that I did have it enabled (because it says "Can assist in stability when overclocking." in the discription), so I disabled it and I haven't had a crash since!!

Just wanted to put that out there because the quote you have is really great advice!
