Ha! Finished 50th with 106K! Not bad for a noob with a backup computer I slapped together last weekend! Thanks to Derick for suggesting I use it to fold rather than collect dust!

A person running a 4P (4-processor machine).

My two 2600K's and a GTX580 are no match for a single 4P. I'd love to build a 4P someday, but I don't have the funds right now.

Lol, slow down guys! I'll probably start with getting v7 up and running on my sig rig. Then maybe doing a little extra on my old HP C2D. biggrin.gif

My wife doesn't understand why I do it, she just worries about our network bandwidth .. well... here I am ... still folding, and a bunch of WU's done.

I'm pretty lucky, my wife understands my addiction. So far, in the last year and a half I've built 3 rigs (2 are dedicated folders, one for my personal use and folds 24/7 otherwise) and she was fine until I had spent about $5,000 on hardware, then she cut me off. I promised I wouldn't build any more rigs (but I didn't promise that I wouldn't upgrade these biggrin.gif) so I'm on a building / hardware buying hiatus right now, but as far as folding, she's cool about me doing that. She just hates it when the basement gets to almost 80F and it is almost uncomfortable to sit in our theater in watch movies. Luckly, it has finally started to cool off here in Cincy (High today is only going to be 68F!!), so I have finally been able to fire all my rigs back up and fold like mad!!

Pretty true. Just set the packet size to small (which is <5MB) and you shouldn't have any bandwidth issues. I'm just happy that I don't live in a place with data caps on home internet...actually, just did some rough math and at 5MB per WU, 5 WUs per day across all 10 of my folding clients, tha would be about 7.5 gigs a month download, not to mention upload!!! And, since I have all my packet sizes set to large (which is >10MB), I don't actually know the size of the WUs, so I'm probably using more than that...Not that I care, but it may be something that people should look at if they are a data cap or are charged per GB over a certain limit.
