3570k WEI score 1.0 for graphics after removing dedicated gpu

I sent in my 560ti through EVGA's step up program and am waiting on a 660ti. In the mean time I planned to just use the 3570's HD4000.

I"m running Windows 7 64 Ultimate. I have a Gigabyte Z77 UEFI motherboard. My display is a NEC EA231wmi. I connected my monitor to the DVI port of the motherboard. Windows booted up fine but was running at the lowest display setting possible. I upped to 1920x1080 in display settings. I noticed Windows Aero was off even though it was selected as the default theme.

I refreshed my WEI score and got back scores of 1.0 for graphics and gaming graphics.

I restarted and loaded the UEFI. I checked to make sure Internal graphics was enabled. I switched it from "auto" to "enable." I changed the dedicated graphics memory size from 64m up to the max 512m.. I saved and booted the OS and got the same results on WEI.. I went back into the UEFI again and selected "load optimized default settings" saved and loaded up again with same results.

Am I missing something simple? Do I have to remove all NVIDIA drivers?

I'm not to familiar with built in graphics. But I would uninstall the nvidia drivers and reboot. Then check device manager and check to see which display adapted is listed.

May I assume that you did install the HD4000 drivers?

For when you get it working:
I also recommend overclocking the IGP. You can just up the igpu multiplier in the bios and test for stability using furmark for 30 min. You can get a 70% increase quite easily, though it also depends on your cpu OC. Also the performance of the IGP scales very nicely with the OC.
You'd be suprised about what it can deliver.

@grivy, thanks. I figured it was something simple. Updated to 64 bit intel drivers and aero is working. WEI up to 6.8. I'll try out your overclocking suggestions.
