Which should I get?

The Scarab is £25 and the Mionix is £16. Is the scarab worth the extra cash?

When I was researching hard pads, I found that the razer Scarab had a ton of negative reviews, where the paint would peel of very fast.

I don't know if they fixed that or what, but I decided to get a Steelseries SX. I don't use it anymore as I prefer cloth pads, but it's held up great and gotten good reviews other places too.

The mionix one I know nothing about.

You mean ironclad? Razer scarab is a hard plastic material. Won't peal~

Out of the two the Mionix Propus has the better value. It is an excellent mouse pad.
The Scarab will be faster, so you might want to consider it if you are looking for a really fast pad.

Both will work well, both are good choices.

I recently too was looking for a hard mat and was thorn between those two and the 9HD. I ended up choosing the 9HD based on aesthetics and local availability.
