But where in those trade dress claims for the iPhone does it state that a rectangle is a part of the patent? I've looked through them and can't see it.

My apologies, I missed D889. But still, that affected only 2 of the many devices, it wasn't a sizable part of the damages. Does D889 actually state the rectangle shape as part of it though?

That's not the verdict either. That's what Apple has claimed that they infringed, the jury found that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 didn't fringe on Apple's D '889 patent. And from what I can tell none of the valid patents state the rectangle shape as a claim in the trade dress.

There were some devices that the Jury said didn't infringe, but they listed some monetary damages for that device that they said didn't infringe. Sounds like they just made a mistake to me though.

seriously apple has gotten completely out of hand they copy the technology of other companies and just improve upon them and cry like babies when anyone even try to do the same thing or compete with them. This is one of the many reasons I don't support apple for anything, don't they remember not too long ago they were not doing so great as a company or "innovations" microsoft had to bail them out of the gutter and now they believe they are gods walking amongs mortals.
