I'm looking for a GPU that can run "The Witcher" on UBER! With good FPS, no GREAT FPS!

My build overall should support it as well!

i5 3570k oc'd 4.6ghz
650w psu
8gb ram 1600mhz

1080-1200p no more than that!

Preferably 1200p for future Monitor upgrades!

Then I would agree with James. 680's sli are pretty killer. If you ever want to push some higher resolutions, think about a 7970 or two in CFX. I wish I had a "I dare say none" budget when it comes to computers...

EDIT: However, if you're planning on getting an SLI setup, you may need to replace your PSU. Your 650 Watt PSU will power a single 680 with no problems as under load this review found it their system drew around 307 Watts.

http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-680-review/9

The HD 7970 is no better by TH's findings...

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7970-ghz-edition-review-benchmark,3232-18.html

For SLI setups, guru recommends a MINIMUM of a 750W. Just something to consider... I know you don't like the 1K gpu's, but your psu could power a 690.

I read most of it, I don't really understand, are those the best in their respective category?

Also I'm going to Micro center and will decide on a PSU. Since 750w is minimum req for 2 solid SLIs.

I may delay on a 2nd GPU and get a better PSU. Erm, gold certified.

This GPU caught my eye though:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127695

Is it worth $600?

Edit: Is FSP a good brand?

http://www.microcenter.com/product/386515/Aurum_CM_Gold_750_Watt_ATX_Modular_Power_Supply

Or Sparkle gold series? I feel for a good GPU you need a good PSU, as good a time as any to change that:

HD 7900 cards perform better in Witcher 2. HD 7950 OC (1.2 Ghz) is 10% faster than GTX 670 OC (1.31 Ghz).

http://hardocp.com/article/2012/08/23/galaxy_gtx_660_ti_gc_oc_vs_670_hd_7950/2

If you want value for money get a HD 7950 and overclock it. If you want the max performance get a HD 7970 Ghz and overclock it. the sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X and Sapphire HD 7970 Ghz Vapor-X are good options. At USD 330 with the Sleeping Dogs game coupon the HD 7950 is an amazing card.

Not trying to make you change your mind on the power supply, but I feel something like the CorsairTX750 is a better power supply and is on sale for a better price...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139021

A quality 750W PSU for $110 ($99 if you want to bother with the rebate) is a pretty freaking good deal.
