G9x help?

Thread Starter
I saw the MW3 version of this mouse is on sale for a cheap 40 bucks, 30 less then the stock G9x. My question is can I remove the grip from this mouse and throw on another and have a regular G9x for half the price?

They are the same mouse. It just has MW3 branding on one of the grips.
