Need a good mouse for FPS.. mainly BF3. For the love of God do not recommend me any more razer... - Page 18

LOL Oh my, I did rant a bit, didn't I? My apologies, OP, Zero. I do however feel that it is an accurate mouse, and I've had no tracking issues with it. I have seen that problem with my friends R.A.T. 7, as did a number of critics who reviewed it. They also mentioned looking for those problems when reviewing the R.A.T. 9 and mentioned that it didn't have them, which is part of the reason I went with the wireless version. Recall, good sirs and madams, that technology undergoes revisions regularly, and when a company is informed of a an issue with there hardware, they generally go to lengths to fix it, whether by redesign, replacement of faulty components, or even a whole new model being sold as though it was still the same old product. Perhaps Phillips did none of these, and Seitek corrected the issue somehow, perhaps due to some mounting requirement of the sensor that they discovered? Who knows?

As to the 20 vs 30, it was supposed to say I bought 50 with 30 left. My finger nail hit the 5 on the number pad while my finger slid down and hit the 2. That arthritis thing again. tongue.gif

Edit: Ah, my girl wants to recommend the Microsoft Arc Touch. She says that in the few FPS she's played with it, she felt that it tracked better than the Corsair M90 or the R.A.T. 9... I guess you could take that as a recommendation for the Blue Sensor, as I don't know if the mouse's touch surface would lend itself well to FPS or 3PS games. I have trouble fitting my fingers on it and prefer to have a rest for my pinky and thumb.

Edit: After looking up their new prices all I have to say is what the hell happened. Used to be $2 on Newegg but now they're $30.

Retail price was always $30. Nothing to do with pop.

On another note, why the hell is this thread 18 pages long?

That's actually not true. 4 years ago when I built my brother's computer I bought the 1.1A I'm currently using for $2.99, back then I bought it because he needed a mouse and it was the cheapest on there.

I've followed these mice since 05...

Unless you mean Wheel Mouse Optical, the Intellimouse Optical 1.1A always retailed at around $30 MSRP.

WMO had a MSRP of around $10. I could see how 2.99 is plausible for a sale item. Otherwise it might have been misspriced.

Speed or "grain" is going to depend on resolution size. I could go into detail and explain everything or I can just tell you that 800/2 is more controlled than 1600/1. 360 distance is the same.

Combine that with forward/ back buttons next to it which I assign to melee and throw respectively and your whole attack sequence can be accomplished with just one hand. This leaves your left to focus solely on maneuvering.
I like it, and my scores show it works. My skill rating has always been ~500

Seriously, comments like that make me want to see stats.

"Twice as good at BF3" either means you were playing with a trackball before or you were playing really badly. A mouse will not make you better at any game, the best a mouse can do is to not hinder your abilities. That's why people stress the need of a good sensor so much. If it skips or stops tracking in a crucial situation you're dead. And I remember playing BC2 with two ADNS 9500 mice (G500 and Mionix NAOS 5000) and with both I had problems. Fast turns were impossible, cursor jumping on every little piece of dust on my mousepad (I even bought a hardpad...) and the weird acceleration killed them for me in the end.

For comparison:
1st soldier: Ino84 (played with G500, Mionix NAOS 5000 and Deathadder)
2nd soldier: Ino. (played with Deathadder only)

Of course experience also counts, but I was doing better with the DA. That's why I kept it and only swtiched to the G400v2 because I like the shape more. I also tried the Kana to get an impression of the PixArt sensor, and it was ok too.

I use a G700 for gaming and design. I've had it for over a year now and it works like it's brand new. I've heard good things about the Cyborg RAT 7, but I'd never buy one. It's bloody ugly.

Me too, so here we go with the epenis comparisons

BF3 Stats

Done 2/3 with EC1 and the other 1/3 with DA.

That way Windows will not be overly effecting your mouse pointer.
Make sure you select the mouse dpi for 1600 that will ensure you get the best performance.

OMG this. This definately dumbs down your Mouse. I was using my new A4tech F3 vtrack for a month and I just disabled EPP, now i'm trying to re-learn how to use the mouse biggrin.gif Now the highest sensivity is really sensitive which makes sense.
