Try a RAT 7.... Great mouse, or if you want something really simple yet amazing build quality, functionality and less buttons, Steelseries Sensei.
I have both of these and they are great.

I own Deathadder BE, G400, Roccat Savu (simply awful, my worst 60 euro i have ever gave) and zowie AM and ec2 evo.
THe best mice from these for me are the zowie ones. Flawless sensor, as long as you force them to 500 hz with hidusbf. They malfunction at 1000hz, at least to me.
But for the zowie ones you will need a pad with friction.
I was using them on QCK Heavy, which is soft and i had a lot of tracking problems. Until i bought Artisan Hien MID. Simply the best cloth pads the ones from Artisan for me.
Btw i also only play FPS compettiively (Call of Duty 4, Promod) and although i get sweaty hands, with this mousepad i don't notice any problem at all. With the QCK Heavy it was a disaster after a while when my sweat would water the pad. It was like i was playing on glass.
Also i recommend 450 dpi, it is more stable.

I'll go through a list of the mice that I've owned and which I would recommend. FYI I generally only play FPS and 3PS's nowadays.

Razer Mamba
R.A.T. 9
Corsair M60
Logitech G400
Razer Deathadder Black Edition (lift off was way too high for me, and the black editions coating is very slippery making it hard to get a good grip)
Steelseries Sensei
Steelseries Sensei Raw (rubberized)
Steelseries Xai

Depending on what type of grip type you have, I would recommend either the Corsair M60 for a palm grip because of the ergonomics of the mouse and it is also quite a heavy mouse, it weighs around 125g without the extra weights, and 140 with the weights. If you have a fingertip grip and like lighter mice I would recommend the Steelseries Sensei (or the Raw rubberized version if you don't like the glossy/metal coating). It weighs about 102g, where-as the Raw version weighs 90g, because it doesn't have the processor inside of it and the lcd screen underneath the mouse, which is pretty pointless anyway imo.

Why the M60?

The Corsair M60's build quality is second to none, it's base of it is made out of aluminium and something I noticed is that it can keep the mouse quite cool which is great especially in the long gaming sessions. The coating on the mouse is great, it has a soft touch rubber on the top and a grippy coating on the sides. There is also sniper button and to small buttons above that which you can assign to anything you want.

Why the Sensei?

The Sensei, which is the mouse I am currently using, is probably the best mouse I have ever used. The mouse feels perfect, I love the ambidextrous design. Even though some people find this type of design to be uncomfortable, I personally found it to be to be very comfortable. There are two buttons on each side, even though the buttons on the left hand side can feel a bit awkward to reach. You can also customize pretty much whatever you want in terms of lift off distance, prediction, acceleration, etc. It's works well for palm grippers but imo, a fingertip grip is where this mouse really shines.

My 2 cents, and a rather lengthy one at that tongue.gif

I mainly play BF3 - any suggestions
The M60 scroll wheel looks nicer (but is it )and is very important as I switch through weapons often
The M90 is only $5 more and has a $15 rebate and a lot more buttons I might be leaning towards it.
G9X is the better mouse for sure but I wanted more buttons and rather not have MW3 all over everything.
I went with the M90 hopefully it will be an improvement from my wireless MX anywhere mouse and clumsily trying to find keys on the keyboard.

I had the M60 and although the scroll wheel has a quality feel to it with it being made out of metal, the notches on the wheel is a little bit too loose for my liking, as I too like to use it to switch weapons in BF3 smile.gif

The Sensei's mouse wheel is still the best scroll wheel for this I have used to date.

I wouldn't get any mouse with acceleration if you play FPS games.
