Just a quick question ( I hope its in the right place tongue.gif )

Will the CM TPC 812 Cooler fit on a Sabertooth 990FX board in both horizontal and vertical orientations?

Cheers,
Mike

They are both AM3+ compatible. Do beware the height of the TPC 812 is 6.4" and your case is able to clear that.

Thanks, I'm using a switch 810 so clearance is not an issue
I may get one of these coolers in the future to replace my 212+

You guys make fantastic coolers and the value cannot be beaten thumb.gif

I have the same cooler on the same board. It will fit. biggrin.gif However! the cooler will sit where the fans face north south (Up & Down) instead of West East (Left & Right).

Keep this in mind depending on how you want the air to vent. I fixed this using the Xigmatek Crossbar Mount and it works great. wink.gif

I have the Corsair Graphite Special Edition 600T White Case and i rather it exhaust out the back. I'm getting 10-14 degrees Celsius from my TPC 812 on a Phenom II X6 CPU.

Hope this helps thumb.gif

I called them about it. I asked them if there was an adapter specifically for my CM TPC-812 Cooler because apparently the contact plat that sits on the CPU is thicker than all the other coolers. They said that they didn't, but that they have three different screw sizes that they are going to send me to see if i can get the height needed for the cross bar to sit. If i cant use them, then yhey are going to give me a RMA.

I was really hoping i would be able to sit my cooler Left to right too. I might just have to get another cooler. Right now im looking for a cooler that will work great for an 8 core CPU. I dont want to go water cooled if i dont have to, but might have to option for it.

ahk, yea Im trying to avoid water cooling too, it scares me a bit lol.

I might go for the 212 evo when piledriver hits the stores and use the 212+ in another rig Im putting together eventually

The CM Hyper 212+ is a really good cooler. I tried it before I optioned for the CM TPC-812. I was going for a more optimal cooler but came to find out i would be sacrificing air flow direction. I may go back to the CM Hyper 212+ if i don't like the CM H100.
