My mouse doesn't track correctly and lags when not using a mouse pad, is this common? This was not common with my Logitech G9X

It's up-to-date

Mine used to lag whenever I didn't use a mouse pad. Take some compressed air and spray the sensor on the bottom. Guaranteed it's dirty.

It's brand new, only had it 2 weeks maybe. It's done it since unpackaging.

Have you tried using a mousepad with it to see if it eliminates the issue? It might just not like the surface of your desk.

Yes I have to use a mousepad. The only reason I made the thread is because I directly changed from the Logitech G9x to the Razer DeathAdder 3.5G and used the same surfaces. The Logitech never had any of these issues on all of the same surfaces. It seems the DeathAdder can't be used without a mousepad. I wanted to gather some experiences on the mouse if anybody had experienced the same issue or not.

Yea I have the same issue. It's not like ridiculously horrible tracking. It skips sometimes. I think it's normal because the sensor on this mouse is super sensitive. I did notice a fix when I downloaded the actual razer synapses or whatever it's called. It fixed it. I'm not a pro on mice, but maybe cause it's infrared? Idk if the G9x is.

The laser sensor on the G9x tracks better on hard surfaces. Theres no reason not to use a mousepad with a mouse anyway.

Yea that's why I wasn't worried to much just wanted to kind of understand the difference. Any recommendations on a good mouse pad? Current one is looney toons, I stole it from my parents lol.
