new settings, seems my game is running a little bit smoother...but still jerky every once in a while.

GPU - 750mhz
Shader- 1500mhz
Memory- 1810mhz
Fan - 45% constantly.

Settings in bf3 :

Resolution- 1366x768 (720p)
Refresh - 60hz
FOV- 90
Texture - High
Shadows- High
Effects- Medium
Mesh- High
Terrain- High
Terrain Decor - low
Anti-aliasing( defer ) - off
"" ( post ) - off
Motion Blur - off
Anisotropic - 2x
Ambient Occ - off

Fps are between 59-120fps depending on the map and how players.

I'm convinced if it's still jerky then it's not your graphics card. those settings are far too low for your card - but can't speak for your CPU?!

I experienced those jerks a few weeks ago and I'm on a 670, It recovered itself after a few days but still does it on servers with more people everynow and then.

I would put MESH and TEXTURE quality on ultra, the rest on Low, Deferred AA = Off, FXAA=Low SSAO/HBAO=Off

On this setting you see enemy player on farthest distance, and see everything you need to see.

I even play on this setting just for the smoothness and easy visabililty.

Got my KDR to 2.2 from 1.5

edit maybe texture quality lower depends on vram/resolution

isn't this a form of cheating? tongue.gif

I dont think its a form of cheating, i use purely ingame settings to tweak to maximum enemy visibility smile.gif

Looks like a RAM problem to me. I know that what I'm saying always starts flame wars because "I don't have that problem", but 4 GB is not always enough for BF3 depending on how many programs you have in the background. Freezing and stutters are a typical symptom of the hard drive being accessed because there's a lack of RAM. Try shutting down Steam, Origin (Origin can be turned off after entering a game), maybe Skype if you have that.

Also, don't use ultra textures (not that you are at the moment). The ultra setting is made for cards with 1.5 GB VRAM and thus reserves more VRAM for textures than you can afford.

No, not even in competition. In fact, this is quite popular in most FPS games. Serious LAN events probably require identical settings, but it's fair anywhere else.

I understand its popularity, and there is nothing that you can do to counter it other than fall in line but I do honestly feel that it's bad sport. I don’t mean to offend or look down on, hence the smiley in my initial response but It feels bad sport to me. More fool me I guess. The draw distance thing make sense, no problems with that - also for smooth playability but lowering quality just to gain an advantage seems wrong to me. However I'm peculiar like this, I don't even like shotguns for that reason! I do want to try the FXAA filters for higher fidelity graphics but I won’t lower my settings to gain an in game advantage, even if I lose to do so. So just remember when I'm standing looking towards the sky it's not cause I'm particularly bad, I'm just blinded by the sun and see a ruddy thing, put me out of my misery so I can spawn elsewhere smile.gif

I guess if I was that bothered I'd go to Lan parties, it's a good thing I'm not in the real army huh wink.gif

My CPU is mid-grade, lol. I had no idea i was going to buy this game as i was still playing BC2 at the time, but since has gotten boring ( clan dismembered )

CPU settings :
AMD Phenom II x4 b35
Core :3045.19ghz
Muilti - 14.5x
Bus Speed - 210mhz
HT Link - 2100.2mhz
Overclock Profile - 5% ( wont go any higher unless i change settings in BIOS )

everything is set to auto in Bios i cant remember what all the settings do.. so i left them at auto and only changed what i needed to get the 4th core unlocked. also my RAM is a 667mhz all the way across the 4 slots and it's DDR3 OC'd to PC something or another. rolleyes.gif wow! all this stuff just to play a game and have a decent time doing it, is overwhelming. LOL.
